Merillat Classic® expands finish, door options

Among the many additions to the Merillat Classic line includes a new Sable Maple finish (right), and the new Silhouette doors.

The Silhouette door style is a designed for homeowners who want a clean, understated look. The beauty of Silhouette doors lie in their simplicity, with straight clean lines.

Silhouette doors are availalble in Cherry (two finishes) or Maple (four finishes).

The Sable Maple finish and Silhouette door style were launched by Merillat in August 2006.

Merillat Classic® Fusion meets growing contemporary trend

Merillat’s fresh contemporary option for the Merillat Classic® line is the new Fusion door. The Fusion door is a sleek, sophisticated contemporary-style door.

“Contemporary design is a growing trend,” says Faith Allen, senior product manager for Merillat. “This door style meets that trend, by appealing to the new generation of homebuyers who want something different than what their parents had. It also appeals to urban homeowners as it fits perfectly into lofts and condos.”

Merillat adds more design flexibility to Classic® line

This summer, Merillat expanded the Merillat Classic® line with the addition of new Maple finishes and new hardware for even more design flexibility.

New Maple Finishes

Sedona finish and English Saddle glaze are the newest additions to the already extensive Merillat Classic offerings.

Trends: Dark is the new black

This year, trends are clearly headed in the direction of deep, rich finishes with a luxurious appearance. This continues a long-time trend of richer, darker colors.

“In the 1990s, lighter woods with more texture became very trendy,” says Faith Allen senior product manager for Merillat. “Today, we’re seeing trends going even deeper and richer, crossing over into the truly dark black and brown look.”
